  The museum is housed in a late 18th century mansion and contains lots of weird and wonderful items that show how people used to live in the past. Some items you will see include a model train collection and period costumes. You can also see the Victorian picture room and schoolroom (note. schoolroom often busy with schoolgroups). Blaise Castle House Museum   Bristol Blue is a small working factory still making glass in the UK. The factory is open 7 days a week. You can watch the glass being made and visit the factory shop free of charge. Tours or evening displays can be booked in advance and take about 1 hour, you may even be able to blow a glass bubble yourself. Tel: 0117 972 0888 to book. Bristol Blue Glass   The museum is housed in an Edwardian building. You can see the permanent collections, including ancient egypt, or one of the temporary exhibitions.   Create hosts a number of events and exhibitions. Entry is free and visitors can go to the childrens library, exhibitions, gallery and cafe. Visitors are also welcome to visit the purpose built ecohome. The ecohome gives a number of practical ideas for greener living. Closed on Sundays. CREATE Centre   Bring science to life at @ Bristol. There are over 300 hands-on exhibits, live shows and a Planetarium. Learn about animatio and have a go yourself, play music through the bones in your head, see your own veins, create your own t.v. show, Learn about cosmic rays, cover yourself in a giant bubble and more. @ Bristol   The Architecture Centre is open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays). You can visit the harbour-side gallery, shop and resouce room free of charge. Check the website for the exhibitions and events programme. . The Architecture Centre

  The house was built in 1580 and is decorated in Elizabethan, Stuart and Georgian styles. You can see the rooms including the Great Oak Room. It also incorporates a Tudor style knot garden. Open Apr - Oct (check website for days and times). Red Lodge   This 18th century six-storey townhouse was built in 1790 for a wealthy sugar merchant. It has been restored and decorated to its original condition. There are 11 rooms to see where you can get an idea of what life was like above and below the stairs. Free admission. Note- lots of stairs, no lift, no toilet. Check opening times. Georgian House   The museum is in an 18th century brass mill with icehouse, windmill tower and the gardens nearby with grottoes, echo pond and a statue of Nepune. Displays of local industries and social history of the area. The museum also has a cafe, gift/book shop and a family corner for the children. Open Tues (not Jan) 2-5pm.   This is a museum of retail and farming history. See the grocery store, sweet shop, hardware store, habidashery, Off Licence & Tobacconist, Chemist, Tractor & Farm Museum. See original shop counters, scales, contents and advertising signs. You may even recognise some of the products. Also about 150 old tractors from around the world.Oakham Treasures   On 26th Nov 2003 the final flight of Concorde 216 flew into Filton. In Autumn 2010 Airbus withdrew Concorde Alpha Foxtrot from display for inspection by aircraft engineers. There is as yet no date for the re-opening of Concorde at Filton. Concorde at Filton is a temporary home for Concorde 216.
