  Trebah Garden is a sub-tropical garden on the coast. There is a range of activities for children including fun trails around the garden and 3 adventure play areas.   Cardinham is a mixed woodland to walk in, dog walk or cycle. There is a choice of waymarked trails which will take you deeper into the woods to see viewpoints and discover a few historic facts. You could stop at the woodlands cafe on the way back. (Check its re-open after the flood) Cardinham Woods   This park covers over 53 hectares and includes a sensory garden, ponds, cycleways and footpaths. The park is a Green Flag Countryside Park and Local Nature Reserve. The wildlife here includes otters, kingfishers, dormice and butterflies. Seaton Valley Countryside Park   This one and a half acres of authentic japanese garden includes a water garden and a zen garden with a zen viewing house. There is Koi Carp in pools and a waterfall. Village Tea Room nearby. The nursery is next door and covers an acre. The Japanese Garden & Bonsai Nursery

  100 acres of sprawling woodland garden. There are riverside trails. Follow the woodland walk to the fishful pond (600 years old). Kids can run wild searching for bugs and wildlife. Antony Woodland Gardens is part of the Carew Pole Garden Trust and is separate from Antony House. Children under 16 FREE. Antony Woodland Garden   800 acres of interesting grounds to explore.. There are folies and buildings scattered around the grounds. Early Italian, English and French formal gardens. New Zealand, American and Jubilee gardens added later. Harbour view seat with great views. Too many other points of interest to list here. Mount Edgcumbe Country Park   You can enjoy panoramic views from this garden which is set on different levels that were created 200 years ago. There are 4 summerhouses dotted around the gardens, a Georgian stable block and craft gallery. Lots of places to picnic. Dogs are welcome on the woodland walks only. Family events held regularly.   This 26 acre country park has woodland walks, a childrens challenge trail and a play area. See modern mining in action at pit level. Visitors gain an insight into how china clay was mined and what it was used for. Dogs on leads are welcome. China Clay Country Park   Golitha Falls can be seen by following the paths next to the River Fowey. Enjoy a wonderful walk through ancient oak and beech woodlands. Watch as the river cascades through a deep valley gorge which becomes even more impressive after a heavy rain fall. Golitha Falls   These gardens so named as they were brought back from ruin and decay. Explore the Northern Gardens, The Jungle Garden which sits in a deep sided valley and has a micro-climate, 5 degrees higher than the Northern Gardens.   Explore the largest indoor rainforest in the world. Find play areas, trails around the site, with shortcuts, stepping stones places to hide and sand pits. Lots of events all year such as den building in the summer and ice skating in the winter. Listen to stories told by staff about the wierd plants. Much more too. The Eden Project   25 acres of plants from around the world. See the magnolias, Rhododendrons, banana plants and the walled kitchen garden. There is a family trail with a quiz for the kids to do. Family events carried out throughout year (check schedule). Dogs on leads welcome but not in tea room and its garden. Trengwainton Garden   These Gardens are adjacent to the hotel on the North Cornish Coast. The garden was built to with stand the strong winds laden with salt. It retains its victorian layout and splendour. As well as fantastic views this garden includes a small lake, maze type walkways, adventure play area and maze puzzle.   The Cheesewring (standing stones of Cornwall) are a natural formation. They are found near Minions on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. The larger giant flat boulders sit on top of the smaller ones and have been formed by erosion. The nearest town is Liskeard (7km S) Cornish folklore say the Giants and Saints made the formation after a dispute. The Cheesewring   From the car park you can follow the Deer Park Trail. The trail may be steep in places so good footwear needed. There are picnic areas to be found. At the moment there is drainage works and felling going on so red and yellow trails are closed until end feb. Check website to see if it is re-open.Deer Park Forest Car Park   Kit Hill is a wild rugged granite hill top. This area was given to the people in 1985, by Prince Charles, to mark the birth of Prince William. You can find Neolithic and Bronze age burial mounds here. Steeped in mining history there is evidence of mining here from medieval times to WWI. Guided walks and events throughout the year. Kit Hill Country Park

  This country park is 104 hectres of woodlands and lakes. There are a number of footpaths to aid you in your exploration. There is a sensory trail for the visually impaired. This country park was formely part of the great estate owned by the Bassett tin-+mining family. Tehidy Country Park   This beautiful woodland hs many paths running through it so easy to explore for walkers. The path that leads o the waters edge is suitable for wheelchairs and from here there are great views up and down the estuary. The area includes part of the Giants Hedge, which is an ancient monument. Kilminorth Woods
