| Animals include Lions, Zebras, Lemurs, Monkeys, and far too many more to list here. Daily talks and feeds help you to learn a little more about the animals. There is a new Madagascar exhibit. It is also possible to be a junior keep (8-14) for 2 hours, (use TR7 2NN for SAT NAV) Newquay Zoo | The Monkey Sanctuary is home to 24 individuals, you may not see all the monkeys on your visit. Keeepers are on hand to explain about the monkeys. You will also find Wildlife gardens, Bat cave and widllife room and a play area. Cafe on site. Shut in winter, opens from April. The Monkey Sanctuary | This aquarium contains local marine species from the Cornish coast. There are hundreds of tropical spesies in the giant Ocean display. | At the visitor centre you can see the young lobsters growing up getting ready to be released. See the resident giant lobster `Dai the claw`and edible and spider crabs. There is information about lobster, the fishery and marine conservation. Activities for all ages. National Lobster Hatchery | On this farm you will find lambs, chickens, pigs, ponies, calves etc. Kids can help bottle feed the lambs and calves. There is also plenty of play equipment. Pony rides, tractor rides, roller racers, climbing frames, trampolines, crazy golf and miniature train rides are all incl. in the entry price Old MacDonald`s Farm | British otters and Asian short clawed otters are here, you can see them playing and being fed close at hand. You may also see Fallow deer, Munjac deer and wallabies. There are also Owl aviaries, peacocks and a variety of water fowl. Also find woodland walk, waterfall and tea room. | Porfell is home to zoo animals needing a home for life. Here you can get close to exoctic animals like Ring-tailed Lemurs, Ostrichs, Zebra, Meerkats. There is an African Maasai village mock up to look around. Shop on site. Open for Feb half term hol, then weekends until April, then daily until end Oct. Porfell Animal Land Wildlife Park | A wonderful collection of birds to see including parrots, flamingos, toucans and red-billed cornish choughs. Other wildlife includes red squirrels, red pandas, otters and farm friends (donkeys, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs). Also find the Jungle Barn which is a large indoor play centre. Paradise Park & World Parrot Trust | Walk around the ponds, meadows, wetland and orchard. Watch the cows being milked at the milking parlour between 4:30 and 5:30pm. Also see donkeys, duck, hens and cats on the farm. Treat yourself to a well deserved ice-cream in the Croust House. BBQ`s in summer. Free admission & free parking. | Visitors can see camels free of charge. The Camel Centre looks into Camel pen so camels can be seen in all weathers. Organic cafe, farm shop, gift shop with local crafts and kids toys etc. Tractor trailer rides possible in peak season, big sand pit, childrens play area, animals to look at and walks around the farm. Closed Autumn and Winter. Cornish Camels | There are a number of different seal pools to look in. A number of talks are given throughout the day where you can learn entertaining facts about them from their keepers. As well as many seals there are also otters, penguins sheep, ponies and goats. Also find a pirate themed adventure playground. National Seal Sanctuary | Activities are planned throughout the day where you can ride the ponies, feed the lambs, hand milk cows and stroke the animals. In the play area you will find pillow bash, bungee run, ball pools, slides, trampolines and Jolly Roger`s Ball Blaster. There is also a lagre outdoor park with crazy golf, aerial glide and more. | The harbour Aquarium is housed in the old R.N.L.I. lifeboat house. This is a small aquarium that contains many varieties of local fish and shellfish. Mevagissey Harbour Aquarium | The Tortoise Garden provides a sanctuary for the rescue care and conservation of all breeds of Tortoises. There are over 140 different Tortoises on view here. They range in age the oldest being over 90 years old. You can sometimes see the newly hatched babies too. The Tortoise Garden | This place often has new things happening so check the website before visit. There are newly aquired Meercats to see, a pair of miniature Shetland Ponies, a couple of emus and also new Alpacas. In the hand tame area you can learn about the owls and touch some of them. | Here you can see Shire Horses on a working heavy Horse farm. There is a working Forge on site which may be in operation when you visit. The museum houses a large collection of horse dawn carriages. A guided tour will help you get the most out of the farm and museum. Shire Horse Farm & Carriage Museum | At Dairyland Farm World you will find the Bull Pen, an indoor play area. There are also drop slides, raging bull rides, mini-tractors, milking Clarabelle, adventure playgrounds, farm animals and bottle feeding, woodland lakes, Lamborghini hayride and a milking parlour to see. Closed in winter, re-opens Easter. DairyLand Farm World | The Bee Hives are kept behind glass in the Living Honey Bee Exhibition so you can observe the bees up really close without getting stung. | There are farm animals for the children to enjoy. You can tour the press house, bottlery and jam kitchen free of charge but a guided tour is recommended during which you also see the museum, distillery and underground cellars. There is a quiz for kids on the tour. The tour also includes a tractor trailer ride through the orchards. The Cornish Cyder Farm | Here you will find a large collection of birds of prey including Hawks, Owls, Falcons, Vultures and Eagles. There are 3 displays a day, each wth different birds. A selection of other animals to view. There is a picnic area and a play area. Olly`s snack shack serves cream teas and other refreshments. Open from April to Oct. The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre | More than 30 ponies that can be ridden or groomed. Outdoors find a boating lake, go karts (in different sizes), trampolines, ariel glides, play equipment and a mini train. There is a large indoor play barn. | A large amount of indoor play incl. an undercover Donkey area so the kids can enjoy the Donkeys whatever the weather. There are donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and guinea pigs to feed and pet. A large indoor play barn with soft play area. Outside there is a large adventure playground. Tamar Valley Donkey Park | This bird hospital takes in injured birds from the whole of cornwall. Rescued birds are nurtured and fed before being returned to the wild. If a bird is badly injured and wouldn`t survive then it is cared for. The sanctuary is known for caring for oiled sea birds.
