| At Devon Wildlife Centre and Hospital (previously Prickly Ball Farm) you can feed Chipmunks and lambs (seasonal) or groom one of the ponies in the `Big Barn`. Walk a ferret or cuddle one of the furry pets in pets corner. Go goat racing or take the goats for a walk in the field. Feed the chickens and take an egg home. Devon Wildlife Centre and Hospital | At Escot there are a variety of things to do including solving the Beech hedge maze. Travel across the park with letterboxing, see the animals including otters, wild boar, red squirrels, pigs and peacocks. Watch the bird of prey display. Drop down the drop slide, play in the indoor play barn or outside in the bug playground. Or take a woodland walk. | The Donkey Sanctuary is home to over 400 donkeys. On your visit you are free to meander aroundw the donkeys. The Donkey Sanctuary is open 365 days a year. You can see new Butterflies emerge in tropical suroundings and see the otters swimming in speciall built glass enclosures. | Dartmoor Zoological Park is a family owned zoo with a fantastic collection of animals. The animals include Tigers, Jaguar, Linx, Lions, Cheetah, Bears, Wolves, Tapir, Capybara, Racoons, Meercats, Monkeys, Bugs and Reptiles. Dartmoor Zoological Park | The Dartmoor Pony Heritage Trust aims to preserve the Dartmoor Pony Breed. Meet the ponies and learn about them. Visitor Centre is run by volunteers and not always open. West Country Falconry | Sheldon Wildlife Trust cares for some of the worlds most endangered species and is set in an acre of woodland gardens. Mammals, Birds, Reptiles and amphibians. No animals were taken from the wild, they were either born in the zoo or are from collectors taking part in breeding programmes to ensure their survival. | There is a 2km easy access nature trail around the farm. On the trail is a bird hide for some secret watching. Audio trail commentary available from Farm Shop. Live pictures of wildlife displaed from cameras hidden in bird boxes around the farm. Fresh food and beverages available at the cafe. Occombe Farm | Wembury is a great place for marine plants and animals. Learn about the area and its wildlife through interactive displays and aquaria. The wardens organise regular events including rockpool rambles, guided walks and arts and crafts. The centre is closed during winter.
