| The beaches around Charmouth contain an abundance of fossils which are constantly uncovered by the eroding cliffs. The jurassic coast is a great site to go fossil hunting in the UK. |  |
The Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre runs walks and activities throughout the year including kids fossil hunting walks and rockpool rambles. Before the walk the Fossil hunting talks given are tailored toward kids. | ||||

If you go fossil hunting as part of a guided walk you will be told by your guide what to look out for. The guide also has the equipment needed to split small rocks open if necessary. |  |
