| On display there are aircraft, engines, missiles, spacecraft, road transport and other items built in Bristol in the last century. See a wide range of exhibits from a horse drawn Bristol Tram to a space vehicle mock-up. You can see helicopters, jets and much much more. Children must be supervised. Cotswold Motoring Museum and Toy Collection | Housed in Edwards Jenners country house this family friendly museum has explorer bags to help explore the museum, indoor and outdoor quizzes, a garden (lovely for picnics) and a small tea room. | This museum helps you to understand what it must of been like to live in a prosperous Roman Town. Take a look in a Roman town house, see the Roman garden, see the lovely mosaics and discover what it was like to be a Roman soldier. There is dressing up and computer activities to help keep kids interested. Corinium Museum | This museum closed on 31st March 2011 and will not re-open until late 2012/early 2013, due to a major re-development. Collections include local history, Edward Wilson Archaeology, Summerfield galleries, paintings, Africa to Asia and Arts & Crafts Movement. Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum | This is a Regency terraced house where Gustav Holst was born in 1874. Find out about his story behind this composer. | The tour is revealing and informative and may alter the way you think about your sense of smell. The factory has hand produced unique perfume for the rich and famous for over 40 years. All tours must be pre-booked and last about 45mins. Cotswold Perfumery Factory Tour | Displays include Roman coins found locally. You may also find an activity chest for children. Entry to museum, both permanent exhibitions and and temporaray ones, is free. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. No refreshments or toilet but can be found close by. | Also known as `The House of The Tailor of Gloucester`. The tiny historic house is depicted in the second of Beatrix Potter`s books, `The Tailor of Gloucester`. The Museum is open daily and staffed by knowledgeable volunteers. There is free entry to both the shop and museum. Beatrix Potter Museum and Shop | Gloucester Folk Museum is dedicated to social history. Wide range of topics incl. historic costume, story of river Severn fisheries and reconstructed Victorian Schoolroom. Hands-on activities, demonstrations and role play throughout year. | Visitors can find out what it was like for soldiers and their families for the last 300 years. There are interactive displays, contemporary film records, medal collection, decorative uniforms, weapons and souvenirs from around the globe. Children`s quizzes are availble to help explore and explain the exhibits. Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum | This is the first museum and art gallery dedicated to art inspired by nature. The work spans 1500 years and is from 60 different countries. After viewing the galleries you could try some brass rubbing, visit the sculpture garden and play area, or relax in the cafe. There are a great variety of activity days in the school holidays, worth checking the schedule. Nature in Art | This small museum is dedicated to all those who served or passed through RAF Moreton-in-Marsh. The museum has a vast range of artefacts from the war years. All the instruments are maintained in the best posssible working order and are introduced and played by the well informed guides. You can look back at the toys of the past with Victorian, Edwardian and later toys. The collection includes books, baby plates, trains, boats, planes, lead soldiers and much more. | The museum is housed in the original Police Office and cells. The museum is dedicated to the history of the Gloucestershire Constabulary founded in 1839. There are interesting displays of photographs and equipment. There is acomplete magistrates Court on the first floor. Open Mon-Fri. Tetbury Police Museum | In memory of the writer and naturalist John Moore the museum is home to an extensive Natural History collection. A few door away is the Merchant`s House. a 2 storey building that has been restored and furnished to show the construction of a 15th century shop and dwelling. John Moore Countryside Museum & Merchants House | The Abbey is an impressive building and is open year round. From Easter to Oct the Abbey Guides provide regular tours of the Abbey. | The visitor centre is in a 17th century building that has been restored, renovated and enhanced. There are interactive displays, information panels, games and more. Discover what life was like in the 17th century and be guided around the home of a 17th century glovemaker with the help of a hand held media player. | The museum consists of a half acre garden, track side signs and boundary markers from the majority of railway companies that existed from the beginning of the railways up to and including British Rail. Visitors are encouraged to operate the signals, ring the bells and enjoy the various exhibits. Winchcombe Railway Museum | The museum is housed in a converted fire station.
