  Stourhead Estate features one of the world's finest 18th-century landscape gardens. A magnificent lake is central to the design, and there are temple, exotic trees and enchanting grottos Stourhead Estate   There is a playground in Larmer Tree Gardens and a childrens trail. Ornate buildings and ornamental birds also in gardens. Please check website for opening times as these are limited. Larmer Tree Gardens   The ancient earthen works is known as Barbury Castle. The park has an iron age hill fort there is a picnic area and trackways. This park attracts walkers, cyclists, kite flyers and people who just want to picnic. Picnic by natural pond or in woodland. Spirthill Trail   You will find surfaced paths in and around Stanton Park. The paths take you through or near the parklands, meadows, woodlands and lakes. Stanton Park   The Langford Lakes Lakes Nature Reserve has 4 bird hides overlooking the lakes and a visitor centre. A leaflet and family trail are available on site.   The 36 acre Barton Farm Country Park is flanked by the River Avon and the Kennet & Avon Canal. You can walk, row, fish, picnic, find historic buildings or visit craft and tea shops. Barton Farm Country Park   Explore the Kennet and Avon Canal on foot by bike or by boat. The canal weaves through spectacular scenery between the Thames and the Bristol Avon. .   Savernake Forest lies between Marlborough and Hungerford. There are many trails in Savernake forset with lots of woldlife to spot.. There is a picnic site at Postern Hill. Savernake Forset   The Great Western Community Forest is one of England`s Community Forests where local people and organisations work together to form a better environment. The Great Western Community Forest   Make sure you take paper and crayons on the King Alfred Trail. There are 20 different brass rubbings along the 4 walks. A great way to keep kids interested. Walks range from 1.8 to 7km. King Alfred Trail
